Sin sneaks into my life in various ways, such as meditating on less than noble things that lead to anger, resentment or pride. The result is not good and I can become snarky.

The Snark Handbook suggests that snark is everywhere on television, movies and in everyday life and language. Snark is language coming from an attitude intending to hurt, disparage or deceive. Satan is an expert in snark. He asked a snarky question of Eve that started her questioning God’s instruction. 

Did God REALLY say, “You must not eat from any tree in the garden?” Genesis 3:1 NIV

Snarkiness, cynicism or sarcasm are not only harmful but insideous.  What can I do to cure my snarkiness? The apostle Paul knew the solution.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.  Philippians 4:8 NIV
