Our boss caught us loafing! We always worked hard in his presence, but sometimes we were not as diligent in our work when he wasn’t around – the true confessions of my work experience on a farm! Presence, at times, makes a difference.
Just as my employer’s presence made a difference, God’s constant presence in my life should make a difference. I believe He is always with me, but sometimes I don’t act that way.
King David lived his life believing that God was present everywhere:
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? (Psalm 139:7)
My dad used to tell me that my true character was revealed when no one was watching. As I consider my dad’s wisdom, I am reminded that I am never truly alone. God is always with me.
