A few years ago, a physical therapist said to me, "The pain in your neck is not solely related to your shoulder injury. Some of your pain is resulting from poor posture." Once again, I was reminded of the importance of good posture.

Good spiritual posture is important as well. At times, my faith and trust are not aligned with God and His Word, causing poor spiritual posture. The result is often painful. King Solomon advised me how to keep my posture of faith aligned through trust,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5, 6 NIV)

I recently asked a friend how his faith was holding up in spite of a year without a job. I found that his spiritual posture was in good shape when he said, "Years ago I chose to commit my life to a belief and trust in God, His Word and His promises. My faith in God is strong as long as I assume a trust posture. This results in:

  •    a smile on my face
  •    a peace in my heart and
  •    confidence in my step as I walk with Him."

Will you join me this week in assuming a trust posture?

Sharing the journey with you,
