What Determines My Identity?

Identity answers the question, “Who am I?” My identity is often defined by:

• the groups or communities to which I belong
• the roles that I play
• the work that I do
• the problems that I have.

What if my primary identity rested in the acceptance of that which is given to me by my heavenly Father?

…and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts… 2 Corinthians 1:22a NLT

What if my identity, as “His own”, was truly evidenced by the Holy Spirit placed in me? May I be known for the fruit produced by the Spirit who is alive and at work in my life. Will you join me?
