In today’s world where cynicism, sarcasm, and edginess are in vogue, “wholesome” sounds rather boring or naïve. I would not want to be thought of as boring or naïve.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29 NIV
My advice is wholesome. There is nothing devious or crooked in it. Proverbs 8:8 NLT
Thinking that wholesomeness is boring or naïve is yet another lie of the world; wholesomeness benefits community.
